Mbarara

We met today with the staff from UNDP/MVP that are in charge of the Ruhiira Millennium Village about how we might fit in to the work they hope to do over the next few months - and now feel like we've come full circle, and finally arrived home, with a purpose, a vision, and optimistic for the future. And we bought a bottle of wine tonight to celebrate.

Tomorrow we're going to Ruhiira village - our home for the next 3 months.

Highlights of our journey so far in Uganda:

68-crossing the border into uganda (9/1/07)

183-our first true ugandan meal - matoke, red bananas, irish potatoes, fresh vegetables, talapia fish, and rice

248-crossing the equator!

264-an ankole bull - the biggest horns in the world!

273-meg overlooking the town of mbarara

280-the busy main street in mbarara

287-eric in front of the MVP Ruhiira sign in mbarara

291-the MVP office in mbarara

297-meg enjoying the sunshine at the office, finally at home in uganda!
