"So", you're asking, "do you guys ever do any actual work?" Well, yes... if you call walking around fields and talking to kids work!
Here are some of our daily activities, volunteering in and around Ruhiira.
Meg "working" at the field office in the Ruhiira trading center.
Attending an adolescent "training" at a local Catholic church. This is a video about preventing HIV-AIDS and healthy living.
Meg meeting with a local men's group to discuss gender issues.
The small "forest" and surrounding crops that Eric will be studying over the next 6 weeks.
Adaptation to drought - by harvesting rainwater from roofs.

Excellent! :)
YAY! You just called me! It was so great to hear your voice! (Megan's in the background, too!) It made me miss you guys, but I'm so thankful for this technology so we can communicate! Take care and stay safe...I love you!
Jenn
Does everyone there speak english?
Hey Donelle!! Most people speak Rukiga/Runyankole, an indigenous lang. spoken only by people in SW Uganda...a lot of people also speak English though, which helps.
*It was great to hear your voice too, Jenn...esp. your excitement & surprise in the beginning of the conversation! :)
Eric,
My best wishes and prayers for you Megan! Becca Jacobs told me about your blog. Also, just wanted to let you know that this month Masses will be offered all over in remembrance of Mary Ellen, requests have been made in 12 parishes over 8 dioceses, including Kansas City, Nashville & St. Louis.
